Criminal Investigation – Murder on the Farm: The Case of Aurélie Fouché

A case of extreme jealousy, or something even more sinister? In the seaside town of Cagnes-sur-Mer, a young waitress at a bar in the centre of town has been missing for a week. Her name is Aurélie Fouché and she is just 21 years old. Her family are sick with worry, and her 17-month-old child keeps asking where his mummy has gone.

On Facebook, a friend created a page “Aurélie Fouché is missing, have you seen her?”. But it was already too late. Aurélie Fouché’s body is found on her ex-boyfriend’s farm. Aurélie was strangled and her body was sprinkled with lime before being buried in a rubbish pit. Her ex-boyfriend Eric Corniglion is an ideal suspect: a jealous man who had never accepted that Aurélie left him. Only, the farmer claims to have nothing to do with the death of his ex-girlfriend. According to him, shortly Aurélie’s disappearance, he received a phone call: she called him for help, seeming frightened as if she were in the hands of a kidnapper… But a new development will call everything into question.
