Cryptoqueen: Episode Three: Gone AWOL

One of Ruja Ignatova’s security experts decides to spill the beans about his time with her. Frank Schneider used to be the head of operations for Luxembourg’s secret service. After leaving, he set up a private security company. His job for the client Onecoin was to hit OneCoin critics with lawsuits and organise defamation campaigns. For this, he hired law firms in London. He did not realise that he was working for a fraudster, as he says. Now he is in extradition custody in France. He has been charged in the USA. The authorities there are certain: he also organised Ruja’s disappearance in October 2017. He denies that as well. In any case, Ruja was warned that the investigators’ net was tightening and that some of her closest associates and friends were now cooperating with the police.

Ignatova had her last big party in July 2017 at her luxury mansion in Bulgaria’s seaside town of Sozopol. Her best friend Asdis was there and remembers that time. Three months after the party, Ignatova disappeared. New, exclusive recordings of the crypto queen’s phone calls from that time shed a whole new light on her disappearance.
