The War against Animal Abuse

The groups L214 and Sea Shepherd have exposed the truth about hundreds of companies in the food industry. Thanks to their shocking revelations and continued advocacy, several slaughterhouses and battery farms have been shut down for their cruelty to animals. We followed them for six months.

Based in Lyon, L214 denounces breeding conditions and industrial scale animal slaughter. They set up hidden cameras with the help of employees on the inside. In the last year, this association has become the bane of the meat and egg agro-industry, with over 600,000 followers on Facebook, raising more than a million Euros in donations.

Sea Shepherd has been defending marine life for forty years. Its founder, Paul Watson, has been prosecuted several times for trying to sink fishing boats. With media as his chosen weapon of combat; he films all of his missions and relies on famous celebrities to support and help fund his cause. We followed him on an anti-poaching expedition in Gabon.
