Directed by Nina Maria Paschalidou, a co-production between Greece, Italy and Cyprus, our new signing “Femicidio” looks into femicides in Italy. It focuses on cases that rocked the country and exposed misogyny in Italian culture, and reveals the macho mentality that leads husbands, ex-partners, and boyfriends to murder. “Femicidio” recently had an acclaimed World Premiere at Thessaloniki Documentary Festival in the International Competition section.
