Ambush

The Uzbin Valley attack by Taliban forces was one of the most notorious ambushes of the war in Afghanistan. For more than 20 hours, 31 paratroopers were trapped by heavily armed Taliban forces who outnumbered them five to one. Nine were killed, sixteen were injured and only six escaped unharmed.

Mixing stunning animation with interviews, analysis and footage recorded during their tour, ’Ambush’ recreates what happened that fateful day. A story of heroism and sacrifice.
