China’s Secret Police

It is a barely believable story that took place in Paris on the 22nd of March: a completely illegal attempt was made by the Chinese authorities to deport a Chinese dissident. An operation which consequentially exposed the existence of clandestine Chinese police stations within French territory. Already alerted, we were able to follow and film this operation which implicated members of the Franco-Chinese association, and employees of the Chinese embassy in France, in direct contact with a police station in China.

The action begins in Aubervilliers, in a building whose address is known by the French intelligence service as having housed a clandestine Chinese police station. It finishes at airport Roissy-Charles de Gaulles, where the non-conformist escapes his guards just a few moments before boarding the plane. In the days following this failed attempt at deportation, we investigated the threats suffered by the young radical and his family back in China.

The story of this dissident prosecuted in France confirms, for the very first time, a reality that is now well known to Western Intelligence Services: the capacity of the Chinese State to make arrests of anyone, anywhere, thanks to the existence of a well-established network of clandestine police stations, with complete impunity.
