Vincent is aboard a Stampe, a legendary Belgian biplane. His copilot Danny Cabooter has notched up over 23 000 hours of flying but his passion for the North Sea has never wained. First stop is Bruges, the Venice of the North, to visit a hostel which has remained a landmark since the 15th century. At the Brussels military museum, surrounded by beautiful old plane models, Vincent is given a violin performance from the young virtuoso and plane enthusiast, Lorenzo Gatto. Tonight, the ’Saint Exupéry’ trio, named in hommage to the old aéropostale pilot are performing a concert in Waterloo, another famous town. The incredible and prolific artist Rubens painted thousands of sumptuous pieces in Antwerp and Vincent is invited to immerse himself in the Flemish Master’s wonderland.
