Flight Paths: Germany – The Ruhr

Vincent visits a monumental former mining complex which has now been converted into artists’ studios. In Duisburg he explores the biggest river port in Europe, which still has some historical buildings in tact despite the Second World War bombings. In Dortmund, Vincent meets the first women’s football team ever created in Germany; the players are now over 70 years of age, but they’ve still got their scoring boots on!
