On the Trail of the French Jihadists

This film is the culmination of a 4 month investigation into why so many young French people have left France to take part in jihad in Syria.

How were they persuaded to leave their homes for a barbaric war thousands of miles away? These extremists are tech savvy and use blockbuster style propaganda films to lure fighters as young as 16 to join their ranks.

We speak directly to some who have left to find out what their daily lives were like among the ranks of Al Qaeda and ISIS. Who are these newly converted fundamentalists and what threat do they pose to Europe?
