The attacks of 13 November 2015 shocked the world. They also took months of detailed planning. This multi-layered film goes to the heart of what happened by reconstructing that day while also re-contextualizing events in light of a decade-long history of terrorism in France.
We examine the personalities of the killers and trace their movements. It is now known that the attacks were planned from Syria, probably by Salim Benghalem, a notorious jihadi who left Paris in 2013. But the co-ordinator was Abdemhamid Abaaoud. Despite being the subject of an international arrest warrant, he was able to enter and travel freely across Europe.
Among other testimonies, former anti terrorism judge Marc Trévidic, journalist Adel Gaste, and historian Jacqueline Chabbi shed light on the collusion between Islamic policies and terrorism.
