Come meet Java Films at 2023 Markets and Documentary Film Festivals

As the New Year begins, we are looking ahead to all the markets that we plan to attend through 2023. Documentary festivals give us an opportunity to build on our strong personal relationships with clients and producers, to make new connections, and to find exciting new documentaries to add to our slate. 

As a team, we aim to cover every major documentary film festival and will add more throughout the year.

January

Donatien will attend Rendez-Vous Paris from 11-13 January

February

Kathryn will attend Sunnyside Global Pitch online 

Kathryn and Olivier will be at the Berlinale/European Film Market (EFM) from 17-22 February. Their diaries are already filling up. Our films Cryptoqueen: The Onecoin Scam and Atomic Hope: Inside the Pro-Nuclear Movement will be in the online screening platform.

March 

Kathryn will attend CPH:DOX online 

Olivier will be at Agora Docs Market in Thessaloniki from 5-9 March

Rebecca attends AIDC online from 5-8 March 

Donatien will be at the East Doc Platform festival in Prague from the 28-30 of March 

April 

MIP TV in Cannes is an important market for our TV buyers, and Kathryn and Donatien will both be taking meetings at the Java Films stand from 16-19 April 

May 

Sophie will be in Canada for HotDocs from 1-5 May

Kathryn will be at Docs Barcelona from 22-26 May

June 

Kathryn and Donatien will be in La Rochelle for Sunnyside of the Doc 18-21 June

Rebecca will attend Sheffield DocFest between 15-19 June 

September 

Kathryn will attend Nordisk Panorama online 21-26 September 

Donatien will be heading to Biarritz for Le Rendez-vous 

October

Kathryn will be at Medimed between 13-15 October

Sophie will attend DokLeipzig industry sessions

Then, Kathryn and Donatien will head down to Cannes for MIPCOM from 16-18 October

November 

Olivier will be in Amsterdam for at IDFA from 12-15 November.
