MIPCOM: Independent French documentary distributor Java Films has acquired the rights to Cryptoqueen – The OneCoin Scam, which focuses on fugitive Ruja Ignatova. The production, available as a single film and/or miniseries, offers exclusive access to close friends and colleagues of Ignatova, who disappeared after stealing up to US$15bn from investors in her cryptocurrency OneCoin, which turned out to be a Ponzi scheme.
