In May 1908, a double murder is committed in a well-to-do house in Paris. The intellectual and artistic world is shocked by the death of famous painter Adolphe Steinheil and his mother in law. The only survivor of this terrible night is Marguerite Steinheil, an iconic and beautiful woman. At first she is portrayed as a victim but slowly opinion turns and the press labels her the ’red widow’. It turns out she has been the president’s mistress and apparently Felix Faure died in her arms. What is the truth behind the rumours of the red widow?
