It was a morning like any other- or so he thought. 48-year-old Stéphane Lejard is getting ready to leave for work. He gets out of his car to open the gate, then, suddenly, he falls to the ground, dead. His family discovers him a few minutes later, lying in a pool of his own blood. The Marseille police unit took charge of the investigation. According to the initial findings, Stéphane Lejard was killed by a bullet to the head. His killer methodically murdered him with a single shot.

It’s the work of an experienced marksman – possibly a hit man. But who could have wanted Stéphane dead? He had his own successful carpentry business. But the money brought jealousy and envy in its wake. According to his relatives, Stéphane wanted to divorce his wife Roselyne and move in with his mistress instead. They tell investigators that he couldn’t agree with his wife on the division of their assets. So did Roselyne Lejard want it all?
